A picture of each graduate will be taken after they receive their diploma by Flash Photography. You will receive an email from them with information about purchasing that picture after graduation.

**Important note about Dickie's Arena: no outside food or drink, no outside flowers, no signs or posters, no noisemakers, and no drones.

*Seniors must be seated in the staging area of Dickie's Arena no later than 11:30 A.M.*
You must account for traffic and security check in. It is a minimum 30 minute drive.
You must arrive in your complete attire: robe, hat, tassel, and regalia (approved regalia).
Phones are not permitted past security for seniors. It may not be in your pocket.
No purses or bags allow past security for seniors.
**Please make a plan with your family. We cannot hold things for graduates.**

More than anything, we want this ceremony to feel as special as possible. One way to do that is to practice the same formal dress requirements as all of the classes that preceded you.
Below are all of the standards of dress as defined by Birdville High School and Birdville ISD. If you have special needs, please contact your Professional School Counselor or Ms. Beasley.
• Gown - Pressed - do this ahead of time because they are severely wrinkled.
• Cap & Tassel - Only the tassel may be worn on the cap - no other adornments, writings or decorations allowed.
• Cords/Regalia - Nothing worn outside a gown other than cords, medals, or sashes issued by the Counselors.
• Black Dress Shoes - No athletic shoes or flip-flops. High heels are not recommended. All black cowboy/western boots are acceptable.
No - Bags, backpacks or purses;
No Gum;
No cell phones or electronic devices, no airpods/earbuds/over ear headphones/etc. (let your family hold these or keep them in your car).
• Black dress at a school appropriate length and must not show below the robe.

• Black slacks or skirt with a top that meets or overlaps at waistband of skirt or pants.
• Appropriate jewelry.
• Black dress pants with black socks. (No jeans or shorts.)
• Black belt.
• White dress shirt with collar. Must be pressed/ironed. No t-shirts.
• Black or navy tie. (Solid color preferred, no pattern.)
Do you have family and friends who are not able to attend graduation this year? BISD has been working to be able to livestream each of the graduation ceremonies using Facebook Live. Don’t have Facebook? That’s okay.

Caps and Gowns are delivered to the school and will be handed out prior to graduation.
