At Biological Roots Therapy, PLLC, we are committed to providing high-quality, accessible mental health care. We offer private pay options and accept a variety of insurance plans, including Colorado Medicaid (Rae 4).
We are currently in-network with **Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Carelon, UMR, and Colorado Medicaid (Colorado Access).
Some employers also offer a limited number of free sessions through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If your employer provides access to Modern Health, Spring Health, or Lyra Health, you may be able to schedule sessions with me directly through their platform.
Self-pay is available for all clients, with the exception of those using Colorado Access. If you prefer not to use insurance, or if insurance is not the best fit for your needs, you may choose to pay directly for services. This option offers greater flexibility and allows for care without insurance-related limitations. Please contact us to inquire about private pay rates.
Please note that EMDR Intensives and EMDR Sports Performance Intensives are not covered by insurance and are available on a private pay basis only.
Our EMDR Intensive offerings are designed as immersive, highly focused therapeutic experiences for clients seeking deeper work in a condensed timeframe. These extended sessions allow for continuity, depth, and integration that go beyond traditional weekly therapy.
The hourly rate for EMDR Intensive services is $200 per hour structured in flat rates based on package reserved.
5-hour Intensive – $1,000
Includes: 2-hour intake and preparation and 3-hour EMDR processing session
8-hour Intensive – $1,600
Includes: 2-hour intake and preparation and 6-hour EMDR processing session
10-hour Intensive – $2,000
Includes: 2-hour intake and preparation and 8-hour EMDR processing session
Weekend availability is offered at a premium rate due to limited scheduling. Please contact us directly to inquire about weekend intensive experiences.
Each intensive is thoughtfully curated based on your needs, goals, and readiness for deeper therapeutic work. We will determine the most appropriate structure together during a complimentary 30-minute consultation call.
For those seeking extended momentum, multi-day intensive experiences may also be arranged when clinically appropriate and aligned with your goals for care.
We accept payments through our HIPAA-secure electronic health record (EHR) system using debit or credit cards. All major cards are accepted, including those linked to HSA accounts. Payment is due at the time of your appointment, similar to a standard medical visit.
If we are billing your insurance, we will submit claims directly to your insurance provider, which may include Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Carelon, UMR, and Colorado Medicaid (Colorado Access). Your insurance company will then process the claim according to your plan benefits.
If you are using Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits through Modern Health, Spring Health, or Lyra Health, services are billed through their respective platforms. Please contact your EAP provider directly for questions related to coverage or session authorization.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer that time to other clients in need of support.
If you have scheduled an EMDR Intensive or EMDR Sports Performance Intensive, please refer to your signed scheduling agreement for details regarding the cancellation policy and applicable fees.
We understand that unexpected situations arise, and we offer one late cancellation or no-show exception per calendar year.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) and missed appointments are subject to a fee. For EMDR Intensives and EMDR Sports Performance Intensives, fees are outlined in the signed scheduling agreement.
Please note that clients covered by Colorado Medicaid are not charged fees for late cancellations or no-shows.
To support consistency of care and respect for clinical time, we allow up to three late cancellations or no-shows per year. After three occurrences, we may discuss referral options that may be a better fit for your needs in order to best support your care and maintain the sustainability of services.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please seek immediate support by calling 911, visiting your nearest emergency room, or contacting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) for 24/7 assistance.
