Theoretical Postdoc Position on Intense Quantum Light and Attosecond Physics
---------
Job Description:
A postdoctoral position is available in the ultrafast science theory group of Prof. Lun Yue (https://sites.google.com/binghamton.edu/yue/) at Binghamton University (State University of New York). The successful candidate will conduct research at the intersection of strong-field and attosecond physics, quantum-light-matter interactions, and ultrafast dynamics in atomic, molecular, and condensed-matter systems. Topics include, but are not limited to: the quantum-light description of high-harmonic generation and the ionization and dissociation of molecules driven by intense quantum light. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable upon mutual agreement. Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for conducting theoretical and computational investigations of attosecond science and quantum light–matter interactions in atomic, molecular, or condensed-matter systems. Primary duties include the development and application of theoretical/computational methods to model and interpret strong-field and quantum-light–driven phenomena. The researcher will also have the opportunity to pursue independent research initiatives, contingent upon their relevance to ongoing projects and their potential to expand the group's research portfolio. Additional responsibilities include: Publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at scientific conferences; Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; Collaborating with experimental and theoretical partners within and outside the group.
