School counselors provide services and support to all students through the use of a comprehensive school counseling program that emphasizes academic, career, and social and emotional development. Although one of my primary roles is to provide students with one-on-one counseling when difficulties arise in any of these three areas of their lives, I am also responsible for supporting the mission of teachers to educate each and every student entrusted to us.
To that end, I am working to collect and develop materials and resources here on this website that I hope students, families and teachers will find helpful. If you use Facebook, I also maintain a school counseling page that I use to share information with students, parents and the community.
If you, or someone you know, are experiencing thoughts of suicide, please call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 for immediate, confidential help, or go to the nearest emergency room.
The CRISIS TEXT LINE offers FREE 24/7 access to crisis counselors. To access this service text MT to the number 741-741 and a crisis counselor will respond immediately to provide assistance.
