Financial Management involves two key elements: 

• accounting (systems and processes to oversee financial transactions) and 

• finance (the sourcing and management of funds from a variety of sources).  

Financial management is required to ensure a firm is profitable, growing, reducing costs, remains liquid and solvent. 

Financial objectives can change with circumstances.
