WE HAVE A GREAT FARM PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL FARMS LIKE IVY CREEK FAMILY FARM AND TJ'S MOUNTAIN MARKET IN MARS HILL, THAT WE OFTEN BUY FRESH PRODUCE FROM FOR PANTRY!

Healthy Opportunities Pilot Program
Do you or any of your family, friends and neighbors need access to food assistance? At Big Ivy we offer HOP assistance. This can include a weekly healthy food box delivery and access to other services. Please reach out to us at admin@bigivy.org for more information and to find out how to sign up. HOP eligibility is for medicaid participants. Please reach out for more info.

Recreation areas have sustained massive damage during Hurricane Helene. areas are closed due to ongoing safety concerns. Please check back in for updates. We are currently working to repair and reopen as soon as possible.

Pool area is still undergoing repair. We are hopeful it will be ready to open for the 2025 season. Please check back in for more updates and announcements.
Big Ivy would like to announce that due to a grant sourced through Feeding The Carolinas we were able to purchase a much needed telehandler for our food pantry operations. It is on site and already being put to work. This machinery will help us to load & unload trucks and move heavy pallets of food as they come in. A huge thank you to Feeding the Carolinas for making this possible.
Thank you to our volunteer Joe for helping us find the right machine for our operations. Its the volunteers that help keep us going!
Big Ivy would like to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the WNC Bridge Foundation for Food Pantry Program Supplies for $5,000. Thank you to the WNC bridge Foundation for being a partner agency and helping us keep our service programs funded for 2025.
