June 2018 Meeting Highlights

• Manchester’s first female Mayor Joyce Craig joined the Advisory Council for dinner, and voiced her strong support for Manchester the project, and PBL.
• The Advisory Council met with the Work Study Practices project, another project focused on scaling deeper learning in NH funded by the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, to work together to scale Deeper Learning practices in New Hampshire.
• The Scaling HQPBL Advisory Council and Work Study Practices team agreed to collaborate on three new projects:
  1. Student Advisory Council: We are designing a way for students to engage in the project as leaders.
  2. State-wide Presentations of Learning: We are planning to design the final project Presentations of Learning in NH so that they include other districts and PBL-focused projects in the State (like STEAM Ahead NH) at the Verizon Center in Manchester.
  3. Joint Project Graphic: We’ll create a graphic to help bring clarity and coherence about how our two projects complement one another and advance Deeper Learning in NH.
