Installing Claroread assisted reader (Chromebook)

Use this guide to learn how install the ClaroRead assisted reader app on a Chromebook

Installing ClaroRead Assisted Reader

Step 1: Navigate to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/.

Step 2: Click on 'For bidefordcollege.org'.

Step 3: Click on 'ClaroRead Chrome'.

Step 4: Click 'Add to Chrome'

Step 5: Click 'Add extension' on the popup box.

Step 5: Wait for the addon to install.

Once ClaroRead Chrome has installed, you will be able to use the assisted reader for reading text and overlaying colours etc.

Note: If ClaroRead is already installed and is not showing, please click the jigsaw piece in the top right of Chrome, and select ClaroRead. This should make the popup for ClaroRead appear.

Using the Colour Overlay

Once ClaroRead is installed, you can open the extention and a little box will pop up on the screen.
Click the settings icon
On the left, click 'Overlay'
Enable the toggle for 'Coloured overlay'
You can then audjust the colour and opacity of the Overlay to your needs
