AREA 1
This area focuses on the extent to which the Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) of the University are clearly articulated, disseminated, and internalized by all stakeholders of the BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program. It examines how these guiding principles are integrated into the institutionβs academic and operational functionsβincluding instruction, research, extension, and student services.
The assessment covers the alignment of program objectives with the Universityβs VMGO and how these are reflected in curriculum development, faculty and student engagements, and institutional planning. It also evaluates the degree of stakeholder involvement in formulating, reviewing, and updating the VMGO to ensure its relevance and responsiveness to societal needs and industry demands.
Efforts such as the conduct of SWOT analysis, stakeholder consultations, strategic planning workshops, and program reviews are highlighted to showcase the commitment of the academic unit to continuous improvement and quality assurance. The area further recognizes the importance of transparency, accountability, innovation, and collaboration in achieving the desired outcomes of the VMGO.
In essence, Area I ensures that the BSABE program remains mission-driven and values-oriented, fostering a shared vision among students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and partners toward the development of competent professionals and agents of social transformation.Β
