Lacrosse is Addictive

Lacrosse is rarely seen on TV because, unlike basketball, golf, or soccer, it is not as popular. My personal experience playing Lacross happened during PE, and I loved it. Lacrosse was started by the Native American Indians and was originally known as stickball. The game was initially played in the St. Lawrence Valley area by the Algonquian tribe, and they were followed by other tribes in the eastern half of North America and around the western Great Lakes.

Lacrosse is a team sport played on a field that is roughly the size of a soccer field. The game involves two teams of ten players each, with players using a stick with a net on end (known as a lacrosse stick) to pass and catch a small rubber ball. The game's objective is to score goals by shooting the ball into the opponent's net. The game begins with a face-off at the center of the field, where two players from each team use their sticks to try to gain control of the ball. Once one team gains possession of the ball, they try to move it down the field by passing and running with it. Players are allowed to run with the ball but must pass it within a certain time limit or risk losing possession. Defensive players try to prevent the other team from scoring by using their sticks to block shots and knock the ball away from their opponents. If a player commits a foul, they may be sent to the penalty box for a certain amount of time, giving the other team a man advantage. Lacrosse games are typically divided into four quarters, with each quarter lasting twelve minutes. The team with the most goals at the end of the game is declared the winner.

Kevin Durant Getting Traded To The Suns Will Help Win a Ring

Kevin Durant was recently traded to the Phoenix Suns. Many have claimed that Durant himself will help the Suns win their first championship. There are many reasons why Kevin Durant is an outstanding player. He really excels in shooting, he's a marvelous defender, and lastly, he has won MVP more than once.

The Suns have many amazing players, featuring Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton, but now their starting five includes KD. Kevin Durant averages 20-40 points per game, while Devin Booker averages about the same. Together and with the help of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton all together they could average 100 points per game, which is already an impressive amount.

Kevin Durant is a solid defensive player. His defensive rating has ranged from 85-90 ever since the 2018-19 season. His current defensive rate for the 2022-23 season is about 93. Devin Booker, on the other hand, had his rating at 108 in 2021-22. Together they can make an extraordinary duo. Many people may think Kevin Durant and Devin Booker aren't as good as I claim them to be. Disagreeing on a topic like this may just be because of the player's background. For many people, that's just the case. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are very valuable players not just to their teams but to the whole western conference and League.

Overall, I think Kevin Durant will be an extraordinary addition to the Phoenix Suns roster. Not only will he help them defensively, but also points-wise.

The Top 5 NBA West Conference Teams

The top 5 NBA west conference teams have been working very hard. But can they stay top 5 till the playoffs or even make an impact in the playoffs?

The Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets have won 46 games so far this season and have lost 23. One of their best current players is Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets were placed 4th on the final leaderboard last year, and they lost to the Warriors in the playoffs last season in the 1st round. From their stats, it looks like they can make a powerful team to be in the playoffs.

Memphis Grizzlies

As they are in 2nd place, they are at a bit of a loss. One of their best players, Ja Morant, is yet again banned from playing. Ja was banned in the week of March 5th for two games. He had been banned from posting a video on Instagram holding up a gun. It was then determined later in the week he was banned for four more games. Ja contributes a lot to the team, but the team is at 3-2 without him. The question is will they stay in their 2nd place, even if Ja keeps getting banned?

Sacramento Kings

The Kings couldn’t even make the playoffs last year, being 12th place but now have somehow made it to 3rd. The Kings have a couple of players with very good qualities, from De’Aaron Fox to Domantas Sabonis. The Kings are also almost Neck to Neck with the Grizzlies to be tied on the leaderboard.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns had a very good season last year, finishing off in 1st place until they got crushed vs. the Mavs. Even though the Suns are now 4th, they have definitely upgraded. They recently got Kevin Durant traded to their team. But sadly, on March 9th, it was publicized he got an ankle injury, and he hasn’t been able to play since. Hopefully, this team is suited up and ready for the playoffs because they can make a big impact if they want to.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors, being the NBA 2021-22 champs, have many amazing players. Yet many of them are out currently, including Gary Payton II, Andrew Wiggens, and more. Yet their team has still won a bunch of games with players that can play, for example, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and many more. The Warriors have such a great build-up, and there’s no doubt they can’t win a championship again. But will they do it?
