The Last of Us (HBO)
By Justin Kim
The Last of Us, originally a PlayStation game made by Neil Druckmann of NaughtyDog, was recently adapted into an HBO show. This new show is created by Craig Mazin, the creator of the intriguing miniseries Chernobyl, and by the writer Neil Druckmann. It stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie's protagonists. They both were in the brilliant show, The Game of Thrones, as highly appraised actors. Surprisingly, the premiere of The Last of Us brought 4.7 million viewers from around the world during that single night.
The show is mainly about the relationship between the two characters, Joel and Ellie, and how their bond grows into a father-and-daughter relationship. Their story behind all that, there's an apocalypse happening. Fungi started infecting humans in 2003, turning people into a new and unique type of zombie not from magic and viruses but from the real-life fungi called cordyceps. Joel and Ellie fight through loss and painful experiences while protecting each other and fighting the infection.
The original actors for Joel and Ellie in the game, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, appear in one episode, each as a different character. Merle Dandridge, who played Marlene in the game, also plays Marlene in the show.
The show, filmed in the exquisite landscapes of Canada, has excellent cinematography and an emotionally beautiful story while remaining loyal to the game. The costume design and acting are immaculate, and the show even uses the video game's music. Many game fans feared the adaptation wouldn't be good like many other video game adaptations, but many loved the show. The Last of Us is a must-watch series as it is a flawless adaptation of the well-acclaimed game. Note that this show has a significant number of violent scenes and gore.

Together, they face many challenges, including the disapproval of Linguini's boss and the fact that Remy is a rat. One of the great things about Ratatouille is that it teaches us never to give up on our dreams, no matter how impossible they seem. Remy faces many setbacks but always keeps sight of his goal. He works hard, practices, and perseveres until he achieves his dream.
Another great thing about Ratatouille is the message of acceptance and inclusion. Despite being a rat, Remy can find a place in the world of cooking. The movie shows us that accepting others for who they are is essential, regardless of their differences.
Overall, Ratatouille is a heartwarming and inspiring movie, perfect for anyone who loves to dream big. It teaches crucial lessons about pursuing our passions, working hard, and accepting others. So if you're looking for a feel-good movie that inspires you, Ratatouille is worth watching!
Mrs. Doubtfire is Always Worth the Time
By Ariela Tehrani
Mrs. Doubtfire was produced by 20th Century Fox Blue Wolf Production and directed by Chris Columbus. I haven't seen any other films by this director, but I'm sure they are great. The movie exceeded my expectations.
It included many funny, unexpected scenes. The movie is about an unemployed actor who broke up with his wife and now needs work. After the man moves out, his ex-wife starts looking for a housekeeper for her three kids, and guess who applies for the job? None other than their father dressed up as a woman. Through make-up, he looks entirely like a woman.
The film's concept is to show how much the father cares for his kids. The plot is unexpected and something I have never seen before. The movie is undoubtedly well-written, along with great scenes and dialogue. The film's concept is to show how much the father cares for his kids.
The scene where the kids figure out the dad is the babysitter is very memorable because it's the moment where everything in the movie changes. The father dressed up as the babysitter and being "Ms.Doubtfire" is an unbelievable character because the man can constantly change for everything he needs to do, from being a woman one second to a man the next. The director hinders the movie by making the ex-wife get with someone else while the ex-husband, "Ms.Doubtfire," babysits with them.
The film is well thought out, and each scene transition is done precisely. The soundtrack was composed by various artists and supplies much more context and set the scene.
Any family can watch this film together without worrying about inappropriate scenes. This can be for any age, same with gender. This movie is most definitely a 5 out of 5 stars! And I recommend it to people of all kinds and ages.
The Boy Fearfully Freightens
By Erin Han
The Boy is a 2016 horror film directed by William Brent Bell and written by Stacey Menear was filmed at Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The plot revolves around Greta Evans (Lauren Cohan), an American woman who takes a job as a nanny for an elderly couple's son in a remote English village. Greta is surprised to learn that the "son" is actually a life-sized doll named Brahms, whom the couple treats as if he were alive. They explain that Brahms is their son, who died in a fire many years ago, and that the doll helps them cope with their loss. Greta initially fails to take Brahms seriously and disregards the strict rules the couple has established for his care. Strange and eerie events begin, and Greta soon realizes that Brahms is more than a doll. She uncovers a terrifying secret about the real Brahms and the family who raises him.
The film is a psychological horror film about grief, loss, and the human mind's ability to create and believe in illusions. The part of the film that most impressed and surprised me was when the doll came to life and began doing things that only humans could do. This part scared me, but it was also shocking and entertaining.
A standout performance in The Boy is Rupert Evans, who plays Malcolm, the local grocer who befriends Greta. Evans brings a sense of warmth and charm to the character, which makes his eventual fate shocking. Additionally, the performance of the doll itself, created by special effects artist Ben Robb, is also worth mentioning. The beauty is eerie and lifelike, and it is a testament to the skill of the special effects team that they were able to create such a convincing and unsettling prop. The director edited parts of the movie clip and added some terrifying and shocking jump scares that got to me.
When the doll Brahms began making human-like movements, it became very entertaining, and the babysitter for Braham informed the doll owners about it, and they came to check on him. Brahams acts as if nothing happened, so they do not believe them, and she is haunted by those acts and not following the rules.
The soundtrack for the horror movie The Boy was composed by Bear McCreary. McCreary is a well-known composer in the film and television industry, having composed music for a wide variety of projects, including TV shows like "The Walking Dead" and "Battlestar Galactica," as well as movies such as 10 Cloverfield Lane and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. His work on The Boy helped to create a tense and eerie atmosphere that added to the overall sense of horror and suspense in the film. The soundtrack made the movie scarier, and the jumpscares were more of a jump scare.
If you enjoy horror movies, then The Boy is a great choice. This movie is PG-13, and it is a great pick, and people should try it.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
By Daria Serheyeva
Almost everyone has heard about Harry Potter at least once. One of the movies about this fictional character is called Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Alfonso Cuarón directed it, and Warner Bros. Pictures published the movie. There are eight Harry Potter movies, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third movie in the series. I enjoyed all of the movies, but this one is my personal favorite. The first movie set the bar high with its magical atmosphere and cool special effects, but Prisoner of Azkaban exceeded my expectations with its exciting plot, unique system of time travel, and new characters.
The film is set mostly in Hogwarts, which is said to be located in the highlands of Scotland, although it's never confirmed. Harry Potter and his two friends try to study and have fun, but they get caught in an adventure, involving a dangerous criminal Sirius Black, who tries to seek out a certain person in Hogwarts. The story involves a system of time travel, which I consider interesting and quite logical. The plot is very exciting and has a few mysteries sprinkled throughout, which made me wonder what is the reason behind all of the strange occurrences. Closer to the end all of the mysteries are solved, and the answers to the character's constant questions are quite surprising. In my opinion, the movie is well-written, and all the scenes have an atmosphere that other movies lack. The dialogue is believable and the characters become more three-dimensional, for example, Hermione drops a class, which wasn't something I expected.
I think the actors played their characters well, although some are not very realistic. One of the more realistic characters is Remus Lupin, who is played by David Thewlis. He is mostly quite calm, but his character becomes much more interesting at the end when he sees his old friend, but unfortunately, I will spoil the ending if I talk about it more. Lupin acts like a teacher, in contrast to most other professors who often feel like too much. There is another character who might feel a little too much, but the actor does a great job nonetheless. Timothy Spall played Peter Pettigrew, who isn't around for most of the movie, but when he shows up, the character is quite colorful. When desperate, he tries to get at least some pity from others, and it looks so pathetic, that you start feeling some of that emotion, even if the character doesn't deserve it.
The cinematography in the movie is really good and makes the film even more exciting and interesting. One of the most interesting moments is when Harry and Hermione stood in the center of a room, while everything around them started tracking back in time. It was cool, but a pretty short scene, which disappointed me a little. Another scene that I enjoyed was Harry riding on a hippogriff, a magical creature. He flew over the water and some of Hogwarts castle, which looked amazing. What made the movie magical were the special effects. The spells look bright and authentic. The only part I found that looked very fake was a living book, which crawled around on the floor. Without special effects, Harry Potter would be just a guy with a fancy stick. The film is also well edited, where the transitions are smooth most of the time, and become more sudden at suspenseful moments. One example of that is when right at the time a character brought his axe down, the camera quickly cuts to the main trio. Overall, the cinematography in the movie is great.
Another essential part of this film is its soundtrack. A specific part of the soundtrack is simply iconic, and it's really easy to recognize. It plays at the beginning of all of the Harry Potter movies and is called Hedwig's Theme. Although it wasn't composed for this movie specifically, it just has to be mentioned. The music in the film makes some of the scenes feel more vibrant and emotional. For example, one of the moments I mentioned before when Harry was flying on a hippogriff, is enhanced by the soundtrack so much. The music gives it a feeling of freedom, which wouldn't be nearly as prominent in this scene without music. Closer to the end, there is a lot of suspense, and the soundtrack shows it and makes everything feel more dangerous. Overall, the music in the movie is iconic and memorable.
In conclusion, the movie is interesting and enjoyable. Everyone will enjoy it, but it might be more appealing to older kids and teens. The movies do become darker and darker, so not all of them might be suitable for children. Anyone who likes fantasy and adventure should see the movie, or maybe just watch it again. Overall, I loved the movie, but I'll leave a friendly reminder to not support J. K. Rowling.
The Gilmore Girls Touch the Heart
By Grace Alexander
Gilmore Girls from Warner Brothers is such a great show directed by Amy Sherman Palladino. This TV show is terrific because I can relate to it since I am close to my mom, and Gilmore Girls is about a mom and daughter who are close to each other and act more like best friends.
The show is set in a rural Connecticut town called Stars Hollow in the early 2000s. It is about the life of a small town and all of the people in it. At the time, it was a new type of TV show that focused on the life and dynamic of family and friends. It was unique for its time and inspired many TV shows like Modern Family.
Gilmore Girls is well-written, and the dialogue involving Lorelai is always clever and fast-paced. I could never have thought of most of what comes out of her mouth. She is a frenetic person, and it shows through her dialogue. Lorelai Gilmore's performance stood out because of her cleverness and quick, funny responses. All of the characters are very real, especially Lorelai and Luke.
Luke works in a diner, and Lorelai is coffee obsessed, so they make a cute pair once they get together. Lorelai is always asking for unhealthy food and gallons of coffee. Luke is very kind and caring but always troubles her, especially with her health and food choices.
The transition between scenes in Gilmore Girls was well-timed. They usually made sense, and the show flowed well. Sam Phillips made the soundtrack. At first, I wouldn't say I did not like the intro song, but it grew on me after a while. The rest of the music in the show fits the Gilmore Girls and their personality. The soundtrack is memorable and fitting to the show. The ideal audience for this show would be a mom and daughter or just an eleven-sixteen-year-old girl. I highly recommend this TV show. It is terrific and exciting!
The Horror of The Hunger Games
By Isabella Miller
Hunger Games is a series of novels written by Suzzane Collins that was turned into a movie. It is a thriller movie with many twists and turns and not knowing what will happen next. The movie was directed by Gary Ross.
In The Hunger Games there are people who are forced to be a part of the hunger games. Only one comes out alive. The main character Katniss Everdeen’s sister gets selected to participate in the hunger games challenge, and Katniss offers to take her spot in the challenge.
The nation of Panem is split into 12 different sections called districts, which are ruled by the Capitol. Every district has to give up a boy and a girl between the ages of 12- 18, and that boy and girl have to play in the Hunger Games until there is one winner. There are many different ways you can die. Such as the fog or the animals that are in the woods
Overall the movie was great, with many twists and turns and not knowing what would happen next. This movie was filmed and edited greatly. The plot of the movie and the concept of the movie were amazing. I recommend this movie to any age and gender.
Moana Make Me Want to Sing
By Emma Saeedian
The movie Moana, directed by both Ron Clements and John Musker, was recorded in the Walt Disney Studios. John Mucker and Ron Clements have worked together on many films for Disney, such as The Princess and the Frog, Aladdin (1992), The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid, and Hercules. However, I hadn't watched many of the films by these directors, but from what I knew as a 6-year-old, I was excited to watch them.
The movie met and exceeded my expectations, then and now.
This movie is about the strong-willed daughter of the Chief, Moana. It takes place about 3000 years ago on the fictional island of Motunui. The theme of the movie is finding yourself. Moana is forbidden to go past the reef of the ocean, but she longs to discover what is past there. And when her island is in danger, she finds that this is the opportunity to explore while making a friend who helps her along the way. The story of Moana is based on the stories, heritage, and cultures of Polynesian islands like Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii, and Tahiti. This plot is interesting and not at all like other Disney movies. I liked the dialogue in the film. It was well thought out for the plot. The accents of the different characters and the dialogue is relevant to the plot of the movie.
The character Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson, is valuable to the plot because he and Moana, voiced by Auli'i Cravalho, join forces to save the island. Maui was particularly interesting because of his history and story- all tied to the culture in which the movie was inspired. The actress Auli'i Cravalho, I felt, did an amazing job as Moana. I think it was a good call to cast someone from a similar background to voice that character. The characters and how they brought their backgrounds and stories to life were part of my favorite aspects of the film.
I thought that the director had a clear vision, and it was executed well. The transitions are smooth and quick- and they seem to be appropriate for the plot and setting of the film. The animation of the movie was modern and realistic despite being a Disney movie. I liked the way they animated the ocean and the water scenes and the islands-they looked timeless and lively and were enjoyable.
This movie seems to be geared toward small or young children, if not just children in general. However, despite being a Disney film, I would still recommend this film to a wide audience of different ages. This film is entertaining, suspenseful, and heartwarming.
21 Jump Street Entertains
By Halo Jenkins
The 2012 21 Jump Street film, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and presented by Columbia Pictures, is the greatest film ever. The film is set in a fictional city Metropolis, Evergreen State, in the United States. The plot of the film is surprising, exciting, and action-packed. The movie's story is about is about two male police officers Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) who are best friends sent undercover as brothers and high school students to shut down a dangerous drug ring. However, they realize that high school isn't the same as it used to be, and that they have to confront teenage anxiety and terror all over again.
The acting in this film was fantastic and the characters were believable. One character who was credible and accurate was Greg Jenko because when he was undercover as a high school student, he seemed like he was a high school student struggling with his grades, friends, and everything else, which is realistic. I like that he was like this because the film would have been dull if he had acted like an adult and didn't commit to the high school student role. Another performance that stood out to me was Jonah Hill as Morton Schmidt because I liked how he grew as a character; he started like a typical smart nerd, but as the film went on, he changed into a tougher person.
One thing I liked about this movie was how it was filmed without many transitions because that makes me feel like I'm watching a movie rather than feeling like I'm in the movie. I also like the special effects in the film because they look quite natural. For example, in one part of the film, a massive explosion occurs so realistically that I felt it. I won't spoil that scene, but it was memorable because it was a super intense action-filled scene.
The soundtrack in this film stood out because it was not intrusive. Mark Mothersbaugh composed the soundtrack for the film and did a fantastic job. Mothersbaugh is also known for composing soundtracks for films such as The Lego Movie and Thor Ragnarok. The soundtrack enhances the film because all the songs are used to fit the scene, and there's nothing worse than watching a movie and playing bad songs that don't match the plot. I would not say the soundtrack is unique though because all movies in this style will have the same type of music for the soundtrack.
I love this film, but I know not everyone will like it. I can't pick an ideal audience for the movie because I'm a 14-year-old girl who loves to watch the most mixed variety of films. I like Disney films. Still, I also like true crime, and I also like horror films. If you are looking for something funny with a bit of action that's also very interesting to watch, I suggest this movie. It is rated R. Still, it is not harmful to children, but if you are a kid, ask your parents before watching it so you don't get in trouble, but I highly recommend this movie. It is my favorite movie, and I love it.
Tangled Tangles the Audience
by Simone Simantob
Tangled directed by Nathen Greno is one of the most iconic movies in the world. The main characters are played by Maddy Moore, Zachary Levi, and Donna Murphy. I expected this movie to be very family-friendly and have a good storyline because it is produced by Disney.
This movie is about a girl who has hair with magical powers. As a baby, an old hag stole her from the castle and locked her in her tower. The old hag would sing a song while holding her hair and become young again. Rapunzel, voiced by Mandy Moore, escaped the tower and started her own story.
The movie was very original because it was well written and has something that everyone can relate to.
Flynn Rider, voiced by Zachary Levi. is a great character because he is a role model who shows that everyone can change. He starts off as a thief and then discovers that stealing is not the answer to everything. Also, he was the most amusing throughout the whole movie. This movie stood out from all the others with its unique storyline and funny actors. They pulled off one of the most timeless stories in the world. I would watch the movie over and over again. The cast did a fantastic job with everything.
The director helps the film come to life by having the characters act in a way where you can connect to how they feel. This is a good thing because when you feel connected to something, you like it more. some memorable camera sequences were that there were many stars featured, which was one of the things that Rapunzel always painted. the whole movie was animated, but it was a beautiful animation. All the charters looked very real. They did not look like they were sketched out in a sketchbook. The film was very well edited, there were no glitches, and it was clear that everyone could see it without a problem.
The soundtrack sets the movie because it enhances the magic and makes you feel you are in it. It really makes you feel magical. There was a lot of music in many heartfelt moments, and it was trying to set you in the scene. the soundtrack is original because it keeps the Disney music but it has its own twist to it. It makes the movie feel timeless and it makes you remember the sound. In the film, you can see patterns that all the music relates to, making you remember it more.
The ideal audience for this movie is kids that like princesses, but it has a lot of adult humor. some similar films like this are Moana Mulan and Pocahontas because they are all strong girls who take upon big challenges that they fulfill. I recommend this movie and it is a big 5 stars.
Frozen Delights Forever
By Ana Fertig
Frozen, created in 2013, was directed by Chris Buck and Jeniffer Lee. It stars Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Josh Gad as Olaf. It was produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and was released by Walt Disney Pictures. This animation film is a children’s comedy that is filled with action, and also includes a story of romance.
Frozen tells the story of Elsa, the princess of Arendelle who was born with the powers of creating ice and snow. Her and her sister Anna were best friends as children but this changed after an incident in which Elsa accidentally harmed Anna with her powers. Elsa leaves on an adventure and soon enough her sister goes on the lookout for her. While there are two other versions of this movie, I prefer the first version. My expectations were set very high for the next two versions and I felt like these expectations were not met. The plot was not as interesting as the first movie and it was not as action-filled. My initial reaction to this movie was being impressed by every aspect of it. Not only was the plot interesting, but the actual filmmaking was so engaging. This movie definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways.
Frozen is set in the Kingdom of Arandelle, Norway in July 1843. In this kingdom live two sisters, Elsa, the princess and heir to the throne, and princess Anna. Elsa is gifted with special powers to create ice and control it. The sisters grew up as best friends who spent lots of time together, but after an incident in which Elsa accidentally hurt Ana with her powers, she decided it was best to protect her sister by staying away from her. After deciding to leave and embark on an adventure, Ana becomes worried and makes the decision to find her sister. She teams up with a snowman Olaf, a reindeer, and an iceman to set on their journey and find her sister. The plot of this movie is very well thought out and captivating to the audience. The action-packed scenes make it hard to look away. There is constantly something exciting happening and it keeps the watchers on the edges of their seats. Although this was an animated movie that takes place in a fictional setting, the dialogue was authentic and believable. The dialogue between the characters was interesting throughout the entire movie and it was very well-written. A main theme that is consistent throughout the story is the importance of family bonds as well as bravery and courage.
In the movie Frozen there are key moments that stand out. A big moment in the movie is when Elsa leaves Anna and builds her own ice castle for herself to live in. Elsa leaves Anna because she is afraid to hurt her because everyone keeps saying that Elsa is a monster and that Elsa cannot control her powers, that's why this stands out a lot.Elsa was afraid to hurt people with her powers because she could not control them. I think Elsa was real for feeling that way and people believe that she is like a monster but all that she is trying to do is be a good sister for Anna and protect Anna. Another important performance in this movie is at the start of the movie when Elsa and are younger and they were playing a game with Elsa's powers and Elsa accidently strikes Anna with her powers and a piece of Anna's hair freezes and becomes a different color. This performance stands out because it explains of the reasons in this movie. Anna was also an important character because Anna always wanted to be with her sister Elsa. An example from the movie is when Elsa ran away and Anna wanted to find her. All Anna ever wanted was to be with her sister.
The animation of this movie was well produced and impressive, making it engaging at all times. The snow was incredibly realistic and the ice resembled crystal clear glass. One scene that I found very impressive and fun to watch was when Elsa used her powers to create a giant walkway of ice on which she ran until it began to crack. The camera followed her back down as she was falling and while all of the ice crashed down onto her. Since this is an animated film, many special effects are used. Also, since Elsa has powers, the special effects are meant to be magical and not necessarily realistic. This film was very well edited. Although it often jumps from shot to shot, the scenes flow well together and are easy to follow along. Since there is a lot of action occurring at once, the scenes quickly switch from one to another and do not necessarily change in a smooth fashion. However, it is still a natural transition that follows the plot in a way that is easy to comprehend.
The soundtrack in Frozen was composed by Robert Lopez, Christophe Beck, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Robert Lopez has also worked on the soundtrack for the Winnie the Pooh movie as well as Coco. Christophe Beck has worked on many soundtracks on other notable films such as The Muppets (2011), the Muppets Most Wanted (2014), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe Ant-Man (2015). Also, Kristen Anderson-Lopez has been involved with the soundtracks of multiple films such as WandaVision, Coco, Spies in Disguise, and Winnie the Pooh. The soundtrack of Frozen plays a major role in the movie and left a legacy for many years to come. To this day, people still listen to the Frozen soundtrack and enjoy it. One of its most notable songs is 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman', which Ana sang to her sister Elsa. This music really enhanced the scene and allowed the audience to truly feel for Anna and the lack of connection with her sister. The soundtrack of this film is an original soundtrack that is different from other films. It is a memorable soundtrack that has left a lasting impression on me. Not only was it very enjoyable to listen to, it was also catchy and has been stuck in my head ever since watching the movie.
Conclusion
I think the ideal audience would be kids because this movie is very kid-friendly. This movie should be for ages 3+. Other similar films that kids would like are Tangled, Cinderella, and Snow White. I would definitely recommend this film.
Music & Culture
"the fruits" by Paris Paloma
By Daria Serheyeva
I watched the music video for the song "the fruits" by Paris Paloma, which for me was quite confusing to understand. There isn't a distinct storyline in this video. It starts with a woman walking through a garden, and then she starts dancing. Later, she joins five other women and they just walk and dance at some old building, which looks like a castle. At one point the first woman seems to be feeling unwell, and she is supported by others. As the others dance around her, she slowly raises up and they continue their dancing, and at the end, they stand still close together.
The main characters are six women. They are dressed in beautiful white dresses, which give off a feeling of light and innocence. All are wearing flower crowns and dancing. The women's movements are smooth and graceful, but they seem like there is some darkness behind all of this beauty, and the dance is almost like a ritual. They might even be witches since they look like they were doing a ritual.
My favorite moment in the video was when everyone stood leaning backward in a line, so that the person behind them would hold their head, and the next second they are standing in a line, everyone's arms raised at different levels, so it forms a sort of circle around the woman in the front. Then they all suddenly lower their arms and start walking forward. This moment was very unique and had a sort of feminine rage energy. The dancers were able to convey emotions through their movements, even though there isn't a storyline in the video, and I think that's awe-inspiring.
In my opinion, the directing and acting in this dance video were great. Everything reminded me of innocence, but because of the directing, it seemed like there was a hint of darkness and anger behind the pretty and innocent façade. The actors' dance was beautiful, and they made it look like a ritual, which is difficult to do in a setting with that much light and air. The fact video was able to communicate the darkness and rage without adding any dark elements is impressive. The only thing that I think I would change about the video is the fact that it's a little hard to differentiate between the characters. I would have them wear brighter flower crowns in different colors, to make it easier to see who is who. I think it would let more people understand the video better.
I wouldn't recommend this to others, but only because not many people would actually enjoy it. I really liked the video, but it only appeals to a pretty specific group of people. The song is unique, but that's both an advantage and a disadvantage. Women would like this song more than men since the song is about women. I think that someone who likes witchcraft would also be interested in this video and song because of its captivating and slightly dark atmosphere.
lil Mabu "NO SNITCHING"
By Aaron Bohbot
Have you heard of Mabu, the famous rapper? He made a cool music video! In the video, he raps about his life and struggles while showing some awesome scenes. It starts with him in a deserted place and then he goes to other cool places like an abandoned building and a bright city alley, and that was the main storyline! The main character is lil Mabu a famous rapper he is an 18-year-old rapper that has accumulated over 2 million subscribers and followers on all social media platforms his real name is Mathew Peter DeLuca, when he started riding an electric bike it was cool, The tearing and most of it was very realistic that was why the acting was very good and most of the actors played very well, there was tearing and being hurt, but overall everything was made very well. the one thing that I could change is to not shake the camera too much, it felt like I was having a seizure watching the music video. yes, I would recommend this, but only for kids that like rap music, and that is okay with foul language. And it was very much on the action side of things, Kids would enjoy this the most because it's mainly for kids that think they are gangsters.
"Happy"
By Simone Simantob
The summary of the video was that there are a bunch of people that just want to feel happy. throughout the video, there would be snippets of people dancing and singing as they want to be lifted up and feel real. personally, the main storyline of the video is that it is trying to lift people up and to make their actions come out of happy thoughts. all of these events are happening while Pharrell Williams is singing the song happy.
There was only one main character and that was the singer. and he was in multiple scenes singing his song. something that he was doing was encouraging the people to sing and be happy. there were a lot of joyful moments in this song.
I personally did not have a favorite part because, throughout the whole song, there were a bunch of different people dancing and singing. during the video there were a lot of different types of dancing like break dancing ballet and so much more. there were various scenes of people doing everyday things and that makes the song feel genuine.
I thought that the dancing was very genuine and expressive. this was a message that you don't need a whole production to make something work. I love that people were rocking their own jam and their own way of dancing. And that was the reason why the whole video is so cool.
something that I would like to change is that I would like to see more of the dances. I think that their dancing skills are incredible. I say that because there was too much of the singer
I would recommend this. Because it lifts people up and makes life feel fun. this is good for anyone.
would recommend this to people that need motivation. because I feel as thought this song is to lift people up.
Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"
By Ariela Tehrani
The main point of the video Shake It Off is to shake off the haters. In the video, each person dances and "shakes themselves off" in a different way. In the end, even more people of all races, ages, and gender "shake it off" as well.
This is supposed to go out to each and every person to not care what others say or think and to obviously "shake it off."
The main character of this video is no other than Taylor Swift. She has short blonde hair in this video with red lipstick. She has many wardrobe changes, from jean shorts to a ballet outfit. In the video, Taylor twerks, shake around her body and does ballet.
My favorite point in the video was when everyone was dressed in shorts and a crop top and did a hip-hop-type dance. I really enjoyed this part the most because it really brings the concept to life. Each dancer is having fun with themselves and expressing the true them.
Something I would change would most likely be the parts of Taylor singing alone. I feel this way because when she started doing this scene, it threw the video off. The scene also came out of nowhere. I feel that with this scene in the video, the vibes get thrown off too
much.
I think the directing and acting were pretty good overall. I love how everyone had their own dance move or trait to be, and each person really pursued it in the video. Some characters did leaps while others twerked. This really makes the video more alive.
I feel that someone who deals with hate from others would enjoy this video, along with people who have upbeat personalities. I would recommend this to others because it's an amazing tune. The tune radiates such positive and fun energy.
Ken Carson-"The End"
by Eli Abrishami
The story line is that Ken Carson who is the main person went into a indoor mall. He then he is biking and just going around and biking. He goes biking around and is showing his clothes and c. He then goes into the movie theater and a bunch of skeletons come around him. He walks out and the video becomes all droopy. The main character, who is also the only the person who is in the music video is Ken Carson. The way he looks is that he has a parted braided black on one side and white in the other side. He is wearing black and white shoes, white jeans, white shirt, and a white belt. For a add on he is wearing a chain
that says "Teen X". My favorite part in the music video is when Ken Carson was in the movie theater. The skeletons then popped out and glitched out of kind of no where. He then goes out of the theater. Then we get a close up of what all the skeletons are doing. Some are eating popcorn, some are drinking their drinks. The acting and directing in the music video is not that good, but not bad. I think that it is not that good but not bad because even tho it is good and just what other people defonetly would like. I do not like it that much because it is in black and white contrasted that does not match my personal style. I would like it because of the reason some people do like it. it could be the other way inverted in the middle of the other half of the music video. That would add more spice to it. I think that is the only thing I would change. I would for sure recommend this to others. I would not recommend it to people who have elilepsy because of the flashing light warning at the start I think that anyone who enjoys that type of music would enjoy it. I would and I will tell my friends to listen and watch this music video.
Sub Urban - "UH OH!"
By Halo Jenkins
The music video is about a normal family tormented by a scary man who broke into their house. The main characters in this music video are a family of four a mother, a father, their son and their teenage daughter, and the evil man. The scary man doesn't look scary except it looks like there's a smile carved into his face, and his hair is a ginger bob. In the music video, the family is running away from the evil man and is screaming and trying to call the police, and the scary man is kind of just looking at them and flying around. The family is just super confused, and they don't know what to do, so they call the police. However, the police officer is just singing the song and is not helping them, so they are just super helpless, which is really funny.
My favorite moment in the music video was when the scary guy floated through the roof, his head poking out of the second floor, and looked at the little boy. While his head was poking through the second floor, the parents were downstairs hitting the scary man's leg while screaming, and it was super funny because they were just panicking and so hopeless and confused. I thought it when he poked his head through the second floor because the kid just looked so scared, but it was also funny because his acting was good, so it was just kind of stupid, but I liked it even though the acting was not effective.
I think the directing of the music video is solid because it fits with the song. However, the acting is not the best because you can definitely tell that these people are acting because when the family is screaming, they are really over dramatic and threes a lot of hand movements, and it doesn't look very realistic.
One thing I would change about the music video is the acting. It is just not realistic, and it could be majorly improved if the acting was improved. The music video would be much better. I would also improve the scary guy's appearance because he's not very scary, and I feel like it would be better if they made him look scary, especially considering the storyline make him scary would make the music video ten times better.
I think the type of people that would enjoy this video and song would be maybe more exocentric people because the music video certainly isn't like others, but I think teenagers would enjoy the song because it is a newer song.
I would recommend this music video to others because it's a very interesting music video and worth watching because it is very cool. Also, the song is nice, so I think other people would also enjoy this music video.
