Be Mature

This method is used by standing up for yourself, not insulting or roasting someone immaturely. However, instead of saying phrases like "I do not have the time for this" or "I am not going to waste time on something that does not benefit me," it will mess with them and rattle their brains because they understand that you are an essential figure or person who is valued enough. It will also give you moral high ground because it allows you to be free and not be stuck with petty grievances or insults; you should be able to acknowledge your value. 

Do not Respond

This way, the person bothering you will lose interest in bullying you. They want a reaction or response from you; if you do not give it to them, there's nothing else they can do. They will stop their hurtful actions because if you don't react, they will not get what they want and will eventually stop because there is nothing left for them to do.

How to Design a Cozy Bedroom

Shut your eyelids and imagine walking into a dream-like bedroom: aromas of cinnamon swirling in the center, lacy curtains and ruffled bed sheets adorning the bed itself, and the whispery glow of fairy lights falling onto the wool rug on the floor. This may or may not be your idea of a cozy bedroom, but one thing is sure: it was designed to soothe and bring joy to the person it belongs to. While you may understand the concept of coziness, it can still be a vague word. Before you design your ideal cozy bedroom, I want you to know what coziness means to you personally. 

Beyond providing physical comfort, a cozy bedroom should reinforce your best mindset: it should consist of everything that has brought you joy or soothed you during tough times. Moreover, like a work of art, a cozy bedroom should express who you are or at least a part of who you believe yourself to be. Keeping posters relevant to your interests, little mementos from previous experiences, and forms of entertainment you enjoy (that engage you without being overwhelming) are crucial to developing a cozy bedroom. Think of a bedroom as your "nest"–without other people's input and ideas, where would you go after a long day to rest and seek shelter? What features would turn your bedroom into a soothing sanctuary? These ideas will form the basis of your cozy bedroom, but if you still find yourself stuck, here are a series of more specific suggestions to improve your atmosphere:

Emphasize warm, dim lighting.

After a stressful day spent outside, nobody dreams of returning to a bedroom with blinding fluorescent lights that enhance their room's frigid, lifeless atmosphere. After all, a bedroom is not a hospital. Warm lighting (candlelight, fairy lights, lamps, etc.) provides a mellow glow that promotes relaxation and lulls you to sleep instead of keeping you wide awake with a disruptive white shine that masquerades as daylight, disrupting the human circadian rhythm and inducing insomnia for some. 

Explore a variety of textures.

Texture adds dimension to an otherwise bland bedroom. Pom poms on throw pillows, frills on a feathery duvet, and patterning on curtains can add a surprising amount of comfort to a room that was formerly nothing much more than a space. Keep a variety of blankets on your bed, and add a rug to your room to create a finishing touch that draws everything together. There are various ways to play with texture–you must choose one.

Clear the clutter

A messy room only sometimes equates to a cozy room. Cozy rooms are lined with adorable trinkets and accessories that reflect the owner's interests and imagination while keeping the bedroom full. Piles of chocolate bar wrappers, old homework, and empty lip balm tubes are not the kind of "fullness" a cozy room is often described as having. The decorations in a bedroom should be meaningful; they should aid in helping you wind down after a tiring day, not cause you to become more overwhelmed than you already were. So, while you may have heard this before, clean your bedroom!

Create snug little nooks in unlikely places.

Did you notice the tiny corner by your bookshelf or the space at the back of your closet? The little nooks and crannies scattered around bedrooms are perfect for a reading nook or your favorite stuffed animal and bean bag placement. The empty (seemingly insignificant) corners that line your room are nothing but missed opportunities that keep your room bland. Next time you lay your eyes on an overlooked corner, consider adorning it with some comfy furniture and beloved little treasures to form a reading, television-watching, or just general relaxing hide-out spot.

Adopt a cat

Despite being the most unconventional tip, having a furry friend lingering around the bedroom enhances the coziness factor of a space by a shocking amount. Cats are known for their serene nature, and you will very likely catch your fur ball stretching out on top of your bed or tapping at your foot to grab your attention as you study or work. Their gentle purring, lounging, and general tranquility will be a display just powerful enough to inspire you to do the same and finally relax. What could be better than the low purr of a cat drifting out from under your bed (where some felines tend to settle) as you get some sleep?

Creating a cozy bedroom catered to your tastes can be time-consuming; however, it is mostly about being familiar with your likes and dislikes in an atmosphere and applying that knowledge–and a few specific recommendations–to your interior design journey. Good luck!

Kids have a lot of energy, so when it is their birthday, they are probably twice as excited, and Sky Zone can help take that energy out by jumping, playing, and sweating.
