College, Career, & Life Planning Lessons (CCLP)

The CCLP program is designed to address competencies in three domains: personal/social, academic/educational, and career/vocational. Lessons are held during select academic classes or during students' study halls several times throughout the school year.

Freshman - Who Am I?

August - Making a Difference

  • Introduction to 3 keys for high school success.

November - Conflict Resolution

  • Two secret weapons are discussed and when to use in conflict

January - Curriculum Information

  • Students are informed of the selection process and academic options for the upcoming school year.

Sophomores - Where Am I Going?

November - Career Research

  • Students will review their interests, abilities, and career clusters in order research three careers with Career Cruising.

January - Curriculum Information

  • Students are informed of the selection process and academic options for the upcoming school year.

February - Goal Setting

  • Students will set goals for academic, personal, and career success.

April - Seeking Employment

  • Students will review the job search process and obtain tips for finding employment, resumes, and interviewing.

Juniors - Where Am I Going?/How Do I Get There?

October - Jump Start Junior Year

  • Steps for post-secondary planning

January - Curriculum Information

  • Students are informed of the selection process and academic options for the upcoming school year.

March - Last Lecture

  • Students are encouraged to assess their own level of resiliency in collaboration with Randy Pausch's message of resiliency.

Seniors - How Do I Get There?

September - Informational Meeting

  • An informative meeting to review options post high school

September-October

  • Seniors meet individually with their counselor to review step by step processes for after high school.

May - Final Plans

  • Surveyed about high school experience and scholarship awards
