BHASED Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program and Services
Black Hawk Area Special Education District (BHASED) provides a variety of services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The BHASED program and services for students who are Deaf or Hard or Hearing is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and supports to become confident, independent individuals. Services are available for students (age 3-22) with a range of hearing losses from mild to severe who are served in district programs, special education programs, and/or general education programs.

We are in need of sign language interpreters and paraprofessionals to work within our DHH program and in our cooperating districts.

The high school class had the opportunity to present at the Superintendent Advisory Committe meeting at the BHASED District Office. Member districts learned about each student, the program, and learned the sign for superintendent.
