BHASED provides Hearing Itinerant services to students with a range of hearing losses (age 3-22) in their home district programs or other special needs program as deemed appropriate. Hearing Itinerant service staff members help educational planning teams identify those who qualify for and are in need of hearing service intervention and to ensure academic success.

Provide in-services and supports to parents and staff
Share current resources and information with education team and families
Role of Hearing Itinerant
Work with student and teacher on a regular basis as outlined in the IEP
Keep in close contact with parents and teachers to monitor the impact the student's hearing loss may have on educational progress
Monitor student's educational progress
Provide in-service and ongoing supports to teachers and support staff
Conduct classroom observations (as needed)
Conduct formal and informal assessments (as deemed necessary)
Assist with the maintenance of hearing assistive devices
