7th Grade Reading

The seventh-grade Reading program is designed to meet students’ individual needs in their development as independent readers.  All seventh-grade students will incorporate skills of reading, writing, speaking, researching, and listening into activities focusing on common core standards.  As a student progresses through the course, they will develop more sophisticated strategies and build upon the ones learned.  The literary units will provide them with a variety of literary experiences based on short stories, novels, multi-media, and non-fiction texts.
