The Joseph Tinius LEAD Academy

The Joseph Tinius LEAD Academy is designed to support freshman students during their transition to high school. Structured as a school within a school, the LEAD Academy works with a specialized team that includes a dedicated freshman principal, guidance counselor, and teachers.

The goal of LEAD Academy is to ensure the successful transition of students to high school by providing freshmen with a caring, positive, and structured environment. The goal is achieved by fostering meaningful relationships, celebrating success, and providing academic/behavior support systems. We believe it is the responsibility of LEAD Academy to provide all students with a strong foundation for a positive high school experience at Bowling Green High

LEAD Summit Groups

Freshmen will spend their 2022-23 school year paired with a teacher for their Summit Group. This group will meet weekly during and will focus on the following objectives:

This should be someone they grow to feeling comfortable with in terms of seeking advice and help with academics, social needs, and any of the many unknowns students encounter in their first year of High School.
