The transition to high school is an exciting time but can also be a little intimidating. The LEAD Academy was created with the intention to help ease this transition. We do this by guiding students and families through the process with a series of events that focus on educating, exposing, and preparing students for the high school experience. Students will begin the registration process for high school during March of their 8th grade year. A list of events and dates will be provided here at that time.
This is one of the most valuable high school transition events that we do. The MY Options Expo was created to be a hands-on experience for incoming students to learn about the vast and diverse elective options offered at BGHS. Our Career & Technical Education pathways, Art & Music programs, World Language department, AP program, and more showcase the many things students will learn and be able to do by being a part of their classes. Students will meet the teachers of the courses, interact with active students in the program, and experience/observe activities and skills that you will learn in each class. This event takes place during the school day.
