We are now set up to use Britannica Online School Edition. 

Students and staff can use this without user name and passwords while in the school.    It is available for home use but the user name and password must be used to access it outside of the school.  

Username = bgcdsb

Password = online

(lower case please)

This will allow unlimited access for all students and staff…..when accessing anywhere remotely (at home), 24/7…!  Use the URL indicated below:

If you want to add the Britannica ICON onto your desktop:

You will see a list of all their databases and the support they offer for each…printable Bookmarks, posters, ICONs and white papers….

The “Sign in to My Britannica” area (top right corner of webpage) is for personal accounts that both teachers and students could create.  It is not necessary to use this area but it is available if desired.   Students can save information to be retrieved later that they come across in their research.  Educators can access additional information such as lesson plans.  Below is a link to a couple short videos that you can watch to get a better understanding of the personal account area.
