Performance Dates!

Please mark your calendars! Highlighted items are REQUIRED by all students. 

Tuesday, December 1st 2026: 6th/8th Band Concert, 7:00pm, BF High School Auditorium

December 2026: Holiday Music Caroling, During School Day, Morris and Anderson Elementary (official dates TBD)

Thursday, February 11th 2027: 6th Grade Band/Choir Concert, 7:00pm, BF High School Auditorium

Tuesday, March 30th 2027: Norwalk 6th Grade Honor Band, Norwalk High School (select students)

May 2027: Celebration of Learning (optional for students)

April 2027: Central Iowa 6th Grade Honor Band, Gilbert, Iowa (select students)

Tuesday, May 11th 2027: 5th/6th Band Concert, 7:15pm, BF High School Auditorium

Materials Needed for the year (if your child runs out of materials, please get these items):

All students should still have a band binder and band book from last year!

• Flute - Cleaning Kit

• Clarinet - La Voz Medium Hard Strength Reeds

• Alto Saxophones - La Voz Medium Hard Strength Reeds

• Trumpets, Baritones, and Tubas need to have Blue Juice Valve Oil, Tuning Slide Grease

• French Horn: Rotary Oil

• Trombones will need to have Slide-o-mix, Tuning Slide Grease

• Percussion: Links for replacements if sticks/mallets are broken or lost. 

  • Snare Drum Sticks

  • Medium Hard Yarn Mallets

  • Hard Plastic Mallets
