Hello! I can't believe it's already March. Time is sure flying by fast. We have started working on some new music, please see the updated list below. Please have your student practice for 15 to 20 minutes a few times a week. This will help them tremendously. I'm so proud of the progress everyone has made, and I am excited to see our end-of-year progress.
Here you will find things we are working on in class and things they can work on at home.
Please feel free to email me at rrood@bfcsaz.com if you have any questions or concerns.
WHAT DO I PRACTICE?
*Anything you have already learned and love to play!
*Review Good Posture (videos below)
* Any exercise or song from your book
* Work on our concert music. Here's the songs we are working on in class:
At the Grasshopper Ball
D Major Scale
Circus March
*Pro-Tip: When learning new music, here's a good strategy to follow:
*Count and Clap the Rhythm*Practice slowly and accurately with the proper bow hold
And yes, you will feel a little bit like the dogs in the video! Getting comfortable holding your new instrument and BOW is...well...not comfortable. Hang in there! You will be a pro in no time at all:)
