Welcome to Band & ORCHESTRA!!! Band & Orchestra are classes offered as an extra curricular activity at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School for students in grades 4-6. Two different sessions are offered: Beginning, and Advanced. This year, all classes are offered during the school day.

*BEGINNING CLASSES (first year students) Crismon Campus: Monday & Thursday 12:00pm-12:30pm Gilbert Campus: Monday & Thursday 8:30am-9:00am

Power Campus: Monday & Thursday 2:30:pm-3:00pm

*ADVANCED CLASSES (second & third year students) Crismon Campus: Tuesday & Friday 11:30am-12:00pm

I'm interested, but which instrument should I play?

In Orchestra, you can choose which string instrument you think you would like to play! Most students choose instruments because of the way they look or sound, and what type of music they are interested in playing! (Check out my INSPIRATION tab in the menu for some ideas!) You may choose between the violin, the viola, or the cello.

If you aren't 100% SURE if Orchestra is for you, or you think it is but have NO IDEA which instrument to choose, here's a cool video for you to watch!! Be thinking about the size of the instrument, and the sound each kind of instrument makes. Which one is YOUR favorite?
