Hello Parents,

What we are doing in Room 13 this week:

DUE DATES:

Nov 16th - Last day to recite poems

Nov 30th - Last day to turn in book report, setting map, & reading log

Spalding - Spelling words will be entered into our spelling notebook again this week.  You should see notebooks coming home each evening. An example of what your child's words should look like are at the bottom of this page.

Grammar - We will be continuing out unit on verbs.

Writing - We are creating Key-Word Outlines and writing summaries from stories.

Math - We will be finishing Module 7 on Division and taking our assessment at the end of the week. I will include the Module 7 study guide at the bottom of this page for your reference. We will be completing it in class.  Do you need a little help checking your child's homework? I am attaching the homework answer book at the bottom of this page as another tool for parents to help their child as needed.

Reminder:
This year we are offering test corrections on math tests for students that score below 75%. Here are some of the details:

● For accurate corrections, students will earn 50% of the original points back, up to a maximum grade of 75 for the test.

● Test corrections must be completed no more than 2 school days after the test has been returned to the student.

● Test corrections must be completed on a separate piece of paper and written legibly (if the teacher cannot read it, no credit will be given).

*Students are not required to make the test corrections.

Literature - We will be finishing our book about Benjamin Franklin this week and starting one about Abraham Lincoln.

Thank you!

Christi Jensen
