PRIOR INFORMATION
MARCH
March 1st- Return to Hybrid Learning!
The week of March 8th will be MAP Testing for students in Grade 5. Testing will take on in-person learning days. ELA will be on day 1 and MATH on day 2.
NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, March 10. This is a full professional development day for teachers.
No Learning Kits will need to be picked up on Thursday, March 11. This is just for remote students now that we are back for in-person learning.
March 31st- Asynchronous Learning Day
The Final Virtual Leaf Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, March 31 during your student's Social Group at 1:00 p.m. Parents will be notified if their student is receiving a leaf.
FEBRUARY
The Second set of Virtual Leaf Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd during your student's Social Group. Parents will be notified if their student is receiving a leaf one week prior so that may attend if they are able to.
On Friday February 5th, the 5th Grade Teaching Team will be hosting a virtual movie streaming social after school starting at 3:00 p.m. Parent permission will need to be emailed to the teacher for the student to participate.
5th Graders will NOT be receiving a learning kit on 2/12/21. Parents do not need to come to the school unless they are picking up for a kit for another child.
February Vacation: Monday, February 15 through Friday, February 19th, 2021. School resumes on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Google Meet with a Poet: Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
JANUARY
Virtual Reading Buddy Program with BFCCPS Kindergarten Students launches this month!
GOOGLE MEET WITH A SCIENTIST! 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12. The Google Meeting link will be emailed to students. This is a special remote learning opportunity for Grade 5 students.

January Item Pickup Event: Please pick up your Grade 5 Student Kit on Thursday, January 14 from 4-8pm.

DECEMBER
Pajama Day/School Spirit Day Schedule
Th/F Cohort: Friday, December 18 (the pajama day was originally Thursday, December 17th but I have decided to change this because of the predicted potential bad weather on Thursday)
M/T Cohort: Monday, December 21
Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on December 22 and December 23. The Appointment sign up link has been emailed from the BFCCPS School Office.
December Break: Begins with NOON Dismissal on Tuesday, December 22. School will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021. Monday January 4 and Tuesday January 5 will be full remote learning days.
NOVEMBER
First Day of in-person learning: Monday, November 2 (Mon/Tues Cohort)
No School on Wednesday, November 11- Veteran's Day
You will NOT need to attend the BFCCPS November item pick-up scheduled for Thursday, November 12 from 4:30-8:00 p.m. The kits will be ready to take home with your students on their in-person learning days. This will save a trip to BFCCPS!
The First Virtual Leaf Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, November 18 during your student's Social Group
The November Scholastic Book Clubs orders are due by Friday, November 20, 2020.
O’Connor Studios will be scheduling individual photographs for BFCCPS students on Saturday, November 21st.
