This indicator tracks the percentage of students who meet Connecticut’s health-related fitness standards. It includes areas like aerobic capacity, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility. A strong physical fitness program supports healthy development, improves focus, and promotes lifelong wellness.
Percentage of students meeting/exceeding the "Health Fitness Zone Standard" in all four areas of the CT Physical Fitness Assessment i.e., aerobic capacity, flexibility, muscle strength/endurance, and abdominal strength/endurance. The ultimate target for this indicator is 75%. Prior to 2021-2022 this data was last reported for 2018-2019.
