Award Winners/Nominees
Nutmeg Nominees:
What are the Nutmeg Awards?
The Nutmeg Awards are Connecticut's own book awards for fiction!
From the Nutmeg Site: "The Nutmeg Book Award encourages children in grades 2-12 to read quality literature and to choose their favorite from a list of ten nominated titles...Jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Library Association (CLA) and the Connecticut Association of School Librarians (CASL), the Nutmeg Committee is comprised of children's librarians and school library media specialists who are members of our sponsoring organizations."

Need help finding a new book to read? Try YALSA BOOK FINDER!
YALSA Book Finder:
Search 4,000+ books, audiobooks, and films from YALSA's book awards and book lists.
From YALSA: "While these books have been selected for teens from 12 to 18 years of age, the award-winning titles and the titles on YALSA's selected lists span a broad range of reading and maturity levels. We encourage adults to take an active role in helping individual teens choose those books that are the best fit for them and their families":
BMS Students- reminder that you can check the reading level of a book on our Destiny Discover. Some YA (young adult) is for middle school and some starts at Grade 9. What I like about YALSA Book Finder is that you can put it a genre and find books that have been awarded or "recognized" as outstanding in that genre.
