IMPORTANT NOTE: WE ARE STARTING A PERMANENT ONLINE PERMITTING SYSTEM PLEASE BE PATIENT AS WE ROLL OUT THIS NEW SYSTEM. IF YOU WISH TO USE THE ONLINE PERMITTING SYSTEM WE ASK THAT YOU SETUP AN ACCOUNT WITH A USERNAME AND PASSWORD. THIS WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED REGARDING THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION. WHEN SEARCHING FOR A PROPERTY JUST TYPE A FEW LETTERS AND HIT SEARCH; A DROP DOWN LIST WILL APPEAR. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTACH DOCUMENTS AND DO NOT PAY UNTIL WE REVIEW YOUR APPLICATION AND POST THE PERMIT FEE TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

Generators, or any other structures needs ZONING approval and IF YOU have a well or septic then Health Department approval will ALSO be required to review. If this is a direct replacement in the exact same location you MUST put that down in your description of the project. IF YOU CHOOSE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR THESE PROJECTS PLEASE ATTACH ZONING AND HEALTH APPLICATIONS OR APPROVALS DURING THE ONLINE PROCESS.

PLEASE CONTACT THESE DEPARTMENTS AND ATTAIN THERE APPROVALS PRIOR TO APPLYING TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT WE CANNOT ACCEPT APPLICATION UNTIL WE HAVE HEALTH AND ZONING APPROVAL
APPLICATIONS FOR THOSE NOT USING THE ONLINE SYSTEM
If you're applying for an Electrical, Plumbing, H.V.A.C., Solar/P.V., or General Carpentry permit, AND DO NOT want to apply through our online system click on Trade Permit applications on the left bar. You can drop of the application when completed with all supporting information AT THE MUNICIPAL CENTER. After we have reviewed the project we will contact you regarding the permit fee and you can mail us a check. THIS PROCESS WILL LIKELY TAKE LONGER
Generators, and above ground propane tanks NOT against to the house need ZONING approval and IF YOU have a well or septic then Health Department approval will ALSO be required. If you are BUILDING A NEW HOME, installing a POOL, or DECK, or EXPANDING THE HOME AND HAVE HEALTH AND ZONING APPROVALS ALREADY the documents at the bottom of the page CAN BE DOWNLOADED AND DROPPED OFF AT THE MUNICIPAL CENTER DROP OFF BOX OR EMAILED TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT. THE ONLINE SYSTEM HAS NOT EXPANDED TO THESE DEPARTMENTS SO WE ASK THAT YOU SUBMIT WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE ONLINE SYSTEM AT THIS TIME for these LARGER PROJECTS. PLEASE PROVIDE ALL INFORMATION SUCH AS PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPLETED APPLICATION; LACK OF INFORMATION COULD DELAY YOUR PROJECT UP TO 90 DAYS OR MORE.
Important Note regarding applications below: Applications for new construction, addition, or renovation of commercial or residential structures, including but not limited to: decks, pools or any addition to the footprint of a structure or change of use are available as a PDF document below. You can fill it out and drop it off at the Municipal center with a check ONLY after receiving approval from the Planning and Zoning Department and Health Department. In some cases other departmental approvals will be required. Application to the building department is the LAST step. Please be as complete and be as detailed as possible.
