Science instruction in BESD facilitates and sustains curiosity. This curiosity provides a scientific foundation and enables our students to actively engage in scientific thinking and strengthen skills that people use every day: solving problems creatively, thinking critically, working cooperatively in teams, using technology effectively and valuing lifelong learning. A fundamental goal of science education is to help students determine how the world works and make sense of phenomena in the natural world.
