Do something intentional: leave the situation & prepare to come back by exercising, practicing mindfulness, stepping outside, or doing whatever you know helps you. Creating a list of activities you can try during a stressful moment is also a helpful practice.
We can also increase protective factors, such as taking care of our basic needs, so that we feel less stress overall. With time, effort & the right resources, anyone can strengthen their mental health.
