Mrs. Nicole Williams

Math Specialist at Liberty Corner

Welcome Letter

Dear Families, Students and Colleagues,

I'm so excited to return to the Liberty Corner team and the Bernards Township Community of Educators!  I taught on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for close to 15 years, 2 years in the Bronx and before that in Westchester, New York. Over the past 10 years, I have been focusing my attention on math education, as it is a great passion of mine.  During my time in New York City, I worked closely with coaches from Math in the City,  City College on developing mathematical communities in classrooms and am so excited to bring my expertise to Liberty Corner.

I obtained my bachelor's degree from Towson University, a Master's in Elementary Education from Fordham University and a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Mount Holyoke College.

Dr. Oliver and Mrs. Lawrence nominated me for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. I have been selected as the finalist for New Jersey in 2022. My application has been sent to the national level for review! I am so humbled and honored to be selected as the finalist for New Jersey.  I have also been selected as the Teacher of the Year for Liberty Corner. I'm so grateful for this honor as well.

I live with my husband, 9-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son in Bloomfield, NJ.
