This website is the home of the Berks STEM Connection Ecosystem. As an ecosystem, we partner with K-12 schools to support teachers and students in STEM learning, and form partnerships via Career Ready Berks with local businesses and organizations that support STEM in schools, and lead innovative initiatives in STEM moving forward.
What is STEM?
STEM (acronym represents the words Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education is an integrated, interdisciplinary, and student-centered approach to learning that encourages curiosity, creativity, artistic expression, collaboration, computational thinking, communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and design thinking.
STEM is not a content area!
STEM is not something we "do."
STEM is an approach to learning that can be incorporated into all content area domains.

We invite you to join in our STEM network offerings if you are a teacher of any content area that embraces a STEM approach to learning. From science domain teachers such as biology and chemistry to technology/engineering and CS teachers, we encourage you to become an active part of our network to learn more about how STEM learning can benefit your students.
