Homework

MVP Homework Description

The homework assignments in the MVP curriculum are titled “Ready, Set, Go!” and are separated into three parts. The Ready section is designed to include problems to help you get ready for the next day’s lesson. This may include topics that you haven’t seen recently but are designed to get you thinking about the topics that are coming up. The Set section is designed to give additional practice with the skills that are being developed in the current lesson. This section may include practice problems or additional math development questions that apply directly to what was learned that day in class. The Go section is designed to provide practice on skills that were learned in previous lessons. This section reminds students of past procedures and skills so they are constantly reminded of the mathematics they have previously learned.

Tips for Completing Homework

If you are struggling to complete the homework assignment, it is important to remember that it is okay to struggle. First, take a few deep breaths, because all need oxygen to think clearly. It may help to look back at your notes from class or the activities that you have been doing over the last few days. You can also check out the support websites for videos with examples or come in to tutoring. If you are still having trouble, make sure that you write down specific questions to ask your teacher or during tutoring. If you find that you are regularly struggling with the homework, please be sure to attend tutoring and talk with one of the teachers there or contact your teacher.
