It’s helped me explore a lot of my options and give me a lot of space to customize my schedule as I want without a lot of requirements.
I really enjoy how many options you get in ac
It helps me take more classes
I helped me because I have multiple choices
It has given me lots of freedom with my electives and classes.
I think that it’s elevated a lot of the pressures to commit to a single specialized field which I something that I imagine a lot of the students in small schools are feeling
I really like my teachers and they help me every day
Ac is very collaborative and gives a lot of group work. It had helped me open up more
I don’t think it has helped me significantly but the teachers are very helpful and nice
given me more opportunities.
i enjoy taking an elective and enjoy my classes and the teachers
it has helped me see opportunities and what i can choose to do in my future and all the options
i like the freedom that you can choose whatever you’re interested in
It has helped me meet new people
It’s let me meet more people in Ac
it helped me meet new people
i’ve met a lot of nice peole
Ac has helped me meet a lot of people.
I have a lot more freedom and I’ve met so many great new people
I have meet people????
There are a lot more people in AC which means even more people to help you with the work.
It’s introduced me to more choices for the school year
I like that it gives me lots of choice for my electives and classes. It helps me because I can choose what I want to take and I can enjoy some of my classes more.
Given me independence
able to connect with more people by having a bigger community. able to have a wide range of education that is not structured for one type of path.
it helped me meet new friends.
That you kinda have time to do work but also what it is and who your teacher
It allows me to take the electives that I want to (easily): I.e. Jazz ensemble, BAO, etc.
I’ve met so many people
a lot of opptions to do what i want and a big variety of people and friends
Especially because it’s my first year it’s been nice to see and meet a wide range of people.
It’s kinda the same as u9 so it just feels like high school
given me a choice to choose classes i want
It has really helped me organize my life
It hasn’t
given me an opportunity to meet and interact with a plethora of people
Connect with different groups of people I wouldn't know about.
AC has helped me try new things.
The classes in AC are cool and helped me learn new things as a student.
The freedom, being able to see so many different people in the day
helped me expand my interests !
Given me lots of options in classes
It’s had helped me make more friends
Good teachers and lots of friends
Made me good friends
I meet new people and I get to learn a lot of information
I really like the option to choose more of my classes
I don't know if AC has specifically helped me with anything but many of the teachers have helped me with a ton of stuff.
AC has given me more opportunities to explore, so I can decide which subjects I want to dive into deepest and what matter the most to me.
I think it can be challenging to navigate a small school with so many people in it, but it becomes a lot less overwhelming when you really get to know your teachers and make some friends.
the only thing u could find challenging is how many choice you get because sometimes you’ll see a class that you like but you’ll find another one which can leave you stuck
A lot of choices but I knew what I wanted to take
It felt a bit overwhelming to join at first but we’re such a large community that I knew I would be able to find somebody to help me
It was hard because there arent really people that I have more than one
Something I found challenging in AC is how quick the units feel. I dealt with this challenge by keeping up with my work
The work load for some of my classes
Ap chem was and is very challenging even though it isn’t a ac class
not very many field trips. i dont have very many fun trips that can let me relax.
some classes seem to grade a little harshly
We don't have any field trips. I find this very challenging because i have really nothing to look forward to in school
some of the teachers are bad
There hasn’t been much difficulty so far
i can’t think of any challenges specific to AC
there is a lot of stuff to do alone and you cant really bond w teachers
Im not totslly sure yet because im just a sophomore, but I think a challenge is that there are so many people and it can be kind of overwhelming
Because there is more wiggle-room in courses, there is more wiggle-room in classes which I don't do well with. I've responded to this challenge by giving myself more rules to not get stressed out with assignments.
It’s hardly a negative but there is so much to choose from and a lot of them are so interesting.
sometimes the self paced work or just work time on my own in my classes is challenging because i dont focus well on my own usually.
I really haven’t found anything challenging yet
Teachers don’t always coordinate perfectly so I can have mountains of work one week then nothing the next.
AP CHEM i just study for it and got an A
it’s really big and the classes are hard
The classes can be hard and not all of your teachers know each other but I think it is a more realistic way of life.
since the class sizes are quite big you have to learn how to advocate for yourself
The way it's divided through teachers and students.
I think what I found challenging is that with such a large size it can be hard to find support sometimes.
It isn't a small small school so there really isn't a sense of community within the small school. I'm still dealing with that challenge.
No one really cares about us
I can't take econ:( I just get sad knowing I can't do it! also not taking comp bel is so unforunste
There is so many people but it’s easy to get used to
Many different teacher options so could get a bad one and there is too many people
That it isn’t very challenging
If there are a lot of kids so you can’t get help
it’s a bit hard to know which classes to pick, especially if some have such a variety of teachers who are good or bad
It's annoying when a bunch of classes get really demanding all at once.
My classmates are different in every class, but you find friends in every class because you spend so much time together. Also, you get to choose your electives and find your people/community that way.
After high school, I want to go to college, and AC helps me by letting me choose the classes that I think will be the most beneficial to me.
I plan on going to college and ac helps with this because it gives you lots of Ap classes which looks better one a transcript
To go to college and by meeting course requirements I can go to college
Starting to go to college and go to doctor school
I would say just being generally self sufficient with my workload and classes.
I think that AC is able to help me organically find what I’m really passionate about and is able to guide me to that path without being made to take any new classes that I might regret spending my time in later
I want to play volleyball and ac doesn't really help
I hope to go to college after high school and AC is helping me see what being in a big community like that could be like
just get into college
I want to go to a good college and hopefully ac has courses thst help me achieve thst
i want to continue photography as a hobby. AC helps me take that class.
i want to go to a good college and the great teachers in ac are helping me get closer to achieving that goal.
I want to get into a UC and ac is helping me by giving opportunities to get help from counselors and things about cillege
i want to study law and ac is helping me because they have a law and social justice class
AC is helping me reach my goals because I have the freedom to choose my classes which can help for college
To figure out a career outside of high school
I want to go to college and then med school, and AC helps me reach those goals by giving me so many class options.
there are a lot of different classes i can take that i might be interested in for the future
I’m not 100% sure what my goals for after high school is but there’s a lot of opportunities in AC.
honestly i dont know what i want to do after highschool, but the freedom AC gives lets me explore my interests more
bruh i don't know
I want to get into college obviously and the amount of AP options available to me helps with that. The standard-highschool style of it I think will make the transition to college more seamless.
I do want to go to college so I could take a class to help prep for that
I want to go to a college that I like and then major in something that will help me find a job after college and make more money. AC is helping me because I am taking classes that I like which motivates me to get good grades in my classes.
It’s helping me by giving support and flexibility while I try to reach my goals of diving in college and going to a college that excites me
i want to go into stem and its the only one that does not have more art based curriculum or a pipeline to healthcare
my goals after high school are to experience new things/go to new places. and then going to college and becoming a veterinarian.
My goals after high school is to go to college specifically a HBCU and they are giving me all these choices to choose from as classes and instead of just choosing the course for me
I want to become a profession musician (and those electives which I can take bc of ac are helping me with that).
My goal is to go to a good college. Some of the teachers in AC really help me with my classes Which will help me meet those goals
i don’t know specific goals but i know i can learn about pretty much anything in AC and it helps get me options to do AP classes to get into good colleges
I want to go to a good college with a lot of opportunities to hone in on my interests.
College and AC is providing plenty of AP
my goals are to take a gap year, and then go to a four year or similar to four year college. i want to become a phycologist or psychiatrist and ac helps with that because i get to meet new people and get good at talking to lots of people
I want to have success in baseball and have a fun time with good grades and AC makes those goals easy with it's structure.
After high school I want to study architecture or something unique at a university, AC is helping me learn more about different fields and helps me get a start on my goals.
I don't know my goals or how AC would help me reach those goals.
Go to college! Idk if AC is really helping me i’m mostly figuring that out on my own
go to a top 10! I can't take a lot of APS!
To go to collage and get a job. AC is giving me lots of course options and classes that can help me figure out what i want to focus on in collage and what i’m interested in.
Taking hard classes specific to my interests
College and ac is helping with leanring
I want to go into STEM, and i get a lot of good choices and elective slots for that.
I'm probably going to go into STEM or a trade.
AC give me the opportunity to explore more areas, so I can decide what I want my job to be if I'm not sure yet.
Even though it’s a really big small school, you will probably have people at least a few of the same people in your core classes. It’s not too hard to make friends.
you most likely will have different people in every single class because of how big the small school is
It gives a lot of class choice
It’s challenging but very open
It can be overwhelming at times because your teachers have so many other students they can’t personally make close relationships to all their students.
You are still able to be in classes with people outside of your small school so if your worried about being separated form you friends you still have a chance of being with them especially with electives
its really fun
the last 2 years of high school could be really fun if your in AC because of the huge course selection
Ac is very helpful and good for academics
the teachers are nice but you will still have a good amount of work to do
AC is the largest learning community, and the best.
it’s the most similar to traditional high school
there is plenty of different teachers and the are all nice
there’s many options and you get a lot of electives
That’s it’s very open
That friends in IB can still have classes with you so it’s not a big deal to worry about and AC is the best choice in my opinon
It’s fun because there are so many different people in your classes.
different classes do different things
You can meet lots of people.
there are a lot of people, but theres also lots of freedom
10th grade is hella boring(not history)
Make your elective plan NOW. There are so many 3-year elective branches that you won't be able to do once you decide in your sophomore year.
It’s the biggest small school in BHS
they should know that a lot of the teachers are very nice and accept late work for full credit.
There’s a lot of independence that comes with it and know that you can reach out for help if you want
that you will still have math and science class with kids in ib
AC is a big community but also you meet so many amazing people that you have never seen but they been going here since freshman year. Another thing about ac is that you can choose your course compared to being in the other small schools. For example in amps you only have one elective while in ac you have 2 electives.
The whole mount-of-work problem.
it’s a good small school 🤷♀️
Not sure!
I don’t know
if you are not okay with not being able to get special attention or help don’t choose ac but if you don’t need it then you should choose ac
it is fun
they need to use their time wisely
Be prepared for a wide variety of people.
Because there are so many people in each grade, you can find a lot of new friends.
AC does not have a really tight-knit community like the other small schools, and it just feels like high school with no real added 'bonus' or 'theme' to a small school.
Idk. It’s just very normal highschool I guess
don't let anyone tell you you're dumber than IB kids
I think it’s the best option unless you’re super interested in one of the small schools, because once you pick a smaller school you’re stuck with one of those specific instructions. This can be good for some people but if you’re not positive that’s what you want, AC is the best option.
All the teachers will help you
It keeps your options open
Take hard classes
Ac is very social
even if you take the same classes as your friends you might not have the same teachers
They should know that each class will be completely different.
