We revamped the Method personal care portfolio by conducting user research utilizing surveys, interviews, and usability testing to inform decision-making. Developed user personas and journey maps to accurately reflect the target user. Created UX flows, wire-frames and prototypes for upcoming website features to enhance the consumer experience.
The challenge was to enhance the user experience of the Method Personal Care portfolio by transitioning to a more inclusive, gender-neutral approach by creating a seamless and personalized journey for users, emphasizing authenticity and catering to diverse skincare needs.
Our approach consisted of user research such as conducting surveys, interviews, and usability testing to delve into user preferences, pain points, and expectations. We also studied competitors who successfully implemented gender-neutral approaches and identified areas for improvement and innovative features to enhance the user experience. We then redesigned packaging, product names, and visuals to embody a gender-neutral approach while also addressing niche skincare concerns often overlooked in mainstream products as well as transformed Method's digital platforms to be more user-centric.
My role was to develop detailed user personas, journey maps, and user flows to inform decision-making. I was also responsible for creating wireframes and prototypes of mockup website features including digital beauty consultants and personalized quizzes. Users could interact with these features to receive tailored skincare recommendations based on their unique preferences and concerns.
The project aimed to elevate the user experience for Method's Personal Care portfolio by transitioning to a gender-neutral approach, fostering inclusivity and personalization. Through innovative features like digital beauty consultants and personalized quizzes, the user journey was distinctively differentiated from competitors. This overhaul successfully increased digital interaction and user engagement on the website while ensuring authentic representation of diversity, creating a genuinely relatable user experience.
