We are the UC Berkeley branch of Operation Smile!
An international nonprofit dedicated to providing free cleft lip and palate surgeries for children in countries with underdeveloped healthcare infrastructures. For these international surgery missions, Operation Smile requires handmade blankets for the children and cards of emotional support and encouragement for the surgeons and nurses on the mission trips.

Then attend a Zoom information call about the program, led by UC Berkeley students.
You will have the choice of creating no-sew fleece tie blankets or cards of encouragement for medical workers. (as many as you would like!!)
1 blanket is 2 service hours
2 cards are 1 service hour
Lastly, you will receive a certificate of the exact number of hours earned that has been signed by the founder and CEO of Operation Smile, Oral Surgeon Dr. Bill Magee. They will then ship these service projects to UC Berkeley’s office.
