Human-centered Design Methods course UC Berkeley Fall '22
Testing value attributes after concept ideation
In this course, we were taught how to develop customer-driven products, services, or systems using design methods and tools. We worked on a team project and learn about design research, analysis, concept generation, prototyping, communication, and visualization. The course emphasized professional practice and encouraged students to consider the social, economic, and environmental implications of our work as engineers.
As part of this course, my team worked with industry professionals from the HP company to address the existing pain points of collaborative work in virtual setups for work-from-home teams. Our design process involved conducting in-depth interviews and user observations, utilizing design tools such as user personas and weighted decision matrices, and developing rapid prototypes. Besides the project poster displayed below, I strongly recommend visiting our Behance page for a thorough overview of our design process.
