We have developed new methods for mild zeolite delamination.
Our latest strategy employs a one-pot procedure without the need for any added chloride, fluoride, or bromide (which are corrosive and undesired for that reason during scale up) as well as obviating the need for sonication (which scales poorly). Our approach has been demonstrated for aluminosilicate catalysts.

By subsequently selectively removing framework boron, incorporation of different cationic heteroatoms in zeolite frameworks can be achieved, for a variety of catalytic applications.

These cations incorporated into zeotypes help improve the reactivity and stability of cations to result in superior catalysts for oxidation reactions.
