Handheld Game Console

Kevin He, Ryan Ma, Kesava Viswanadha

We wanted to build something like a Gameboy or Arduboy powered by the ESP32 microcontroller.

Our console has a 1.8in color SPI screen, USB-C port, and 1800mAh Lithium ion cell battery for gaming on the go.

Our USB-C Receptacle didn't fit our footprint

USB-C breakout to the rescue!

Testing the voltage regulator and charger circuits

Screen ribbon cable and data and power lines soldered in

Programming our board

It's working! Running a homemade version of Pong.
