First and second year doctoral students in PMB (including GGM), IB, and MCB who have a strong interest in genetics are encouraged to apply for a slot in the GDTP. If your advisor is a member of one of the three core departments, but you are not, you may still apply.
I really appreciate how our MCB 290 journal clubs facilitate super candid discussions, since the author of the paper we’re discussing is in the room. I’ve learned so much more about the behind-the-scenes process of genetics from these sessions than any other talk. —Niko, 2nd year IB student
