The PLS4.75 laser cutter is a CO2 laser cutter with a processing envelope of 24" x 18" x 9". The workstation is equipped with Adobe Illustrator for preparing and printing your work. Users can utilize the laser cutter on a first-come-first-serve basis under a reservation system. The laser cutter is accessible 24/7 except for shop closure dates.
You MUST submit your Material Information Form before you laser cut.
For cutting, the material thickness must be limited to 1/8" or less. If the thickness is greater than 1/8", please consult with the CSW staff. We recommend that you execute a test run with the door open to make sure everything is aligned correctly. It is not guaranteed that the laser will cut through the material successfully on the first attempt. You can fine-tune the power settings based on your test run.
