ALWAYS wear Safety Glasses
ALWAYS secure loose clothing and long hair
ALWAYS secure the workpiece with clamps or vice
NEVER hold the workpiece with your hand while drilling
NEVER loosen the drill chuck when the machine is turned on
DO NOT adjust the speed of the drill when the machine is powered off: you will damage the steering wheel
DO NOT drill with a lot of pressure; it prevents breaking through the bottom of the material
DO NOT use a cracked or dull drill. Inspect the drill
DO NOT use your hand to stop the spindle.
Remove chips ONLY with a brush
If drilling through a material, align the drill to the table hole
This is ONLY for Floor Mounted Drill Press
Make sure the drill bit is mounted straight in the chuck
Clean ONLY when the machine is powered off
If the drill binds into the hole, stop the machine and turn the spindle backward by hand to release the bit
When drilling a deep hole, withdraw the drill bit frequently to clean chips and lubricate the bit
Let the spindle stop on its own when powered off.
Acrylic and other brittle can be difficult to drill. Use the correct drill bit and use a slow speed for it.
