Berkeley Public Health Community,
Welcome to Che-Risma: finding your smile in the small things for the 2023-2024 academic year. As members of Berkeley Public Health (BPH) we have committed to a lifelong practice of active self-evaluation and action to shift power imbalances and foster a community free from harm and violence. Every member of our community has a role in sustaining a safe, caring, and respectful environment in which our core values can flourish. By continuing, extending, and enacting the activities within this update, we are setting an example for our colleagues, external partners, and the communities we serve.
Each annual report provides information on the many ways Berkley Public Health has been and continues to further uplift our community. I named this update Che-Risma: finding your smile in the small things because it reminds us to recognize and celebrate each step we take in this work.
Take a moment to review our BPH diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging activities during the past year.
Honoring Us,
