Welcome to the Blue and Gold Portal!
Mission Statement
Blue and Gold (B&G) Certification aspires to create a more inclusive and equitable student organization climate within the College of Engineering. Under the joint leadership of the Engineering Student Council at Berkeley and the Engineering Student Services, this program will align organizations under a standard set of principles and unite all stakeholders under the core values of Equity and Inclusion, Safety and Integrity, and Engagement and Transparency. We aim to incentivize student organizations to demonstrate the values of Blue and Gold Certification with their decisions and actions.
Core Values
Equity and Inclusion: To promote a diverse and inclusive community through successful collaboration between students, faculty, student organizations, and the College of Engineering.
Safety and Integrity: To maintain a healthy and supportive environment, adhering to conduct and ethical practices set forth by the College of Engineering and the University of California, Berkeley.
Engagement and Transparency: To establish a culture of mutual understanding and support, that is primarily by engineers and for engineers.
Supporting Values
Self-reflection: To promote a diverse and inclusive community through successful collaboration between students, faculty, student organizations, and the College of Engineering.
Student Accountability: To encourage students to hold each other and engineering organizations responsible for building a better engineering community.
