SUBMISSION
Projects Will be Presented to Judges Live, In-Person, using a trifold poster board.
General Information:
A permission slip/photo release form is required and will be forwarded to you at a closer date.
Participants will have 10 minutes to present their project, followed by 5-7 minutes of questioning by our judges.
All judging will take place in the gymnasium, not in private rooms.
Participants should have their data, methods, and all other relevant information displayed on a trifold/poster board.
Food is not allowed in the gym, but snacks and lunch will be provided towards noon. Participants are allowed to bring a water bottle into the gym.
Display Information:
Two presenters will each be given half of a table, placing their displays/trifolds back to back. While accommodations for bigger projects can be made, we cannot guarantee it. It is strongly recommended that your project adheres to the given regulations.
If a project includes a physical model or prototype, space accommodations will be made.
A special accommodation form will be sent out a few weeks before the fair for projects that require extra space.
Electricity will not be provided for any projects.
Display Regulations (as regulated by Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge):
Maximum Project Depth (front to back): 30 inches
Width (side to side): 48 inches
Height (floor to top): 108 inches
(Please be aware when ordering posters that the mechanism that supports the poster should conform to the maximum size limitations stated above)
All project materials and support mechanisms must fit within the project dimensions .
The tables provided will not exceed a height of 36 inches.
If a table is used it becomes part of the project and must not exceed the allowed dimensions.
Tables will be provided at the fair. Please do not bring your own tables unless they are required for your project and fit with the dimensions.
All demonstrations must be done within the confines of the presenter's booth space (the area provided to you in the fair, within the length of the table). When not being demonstrated, all project components must be returned to the project display and must fit within allowable dimensions as defined above.
