A nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing science education, the Society for Science fosters scientific inquiry by promoting scientific literacy, encouraging innovation, and supporting the next generation of STEM leaders.
An initiative established by the Society for Science, the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge engages and inspires middle school students in STEM. The competition encourages participants to tackle real-world problems through creative problem-solving and hands-on projects.
The Broadcom Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing STEM education for youth. Through its outreach programs, it supports the next generation of innovators by providing opportunities for hands-on learning. The organization values innovation, collaboration, diversity, and equity in science.

Thermo Fisher Scientific - Junior Innovators Challenge (Awards, Finalists)
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC) Top 300 is a nationally recognized STEM competition that honors exceptional science and engineering research projects by U.S. middle school students (grades 6–8).
Chosen from nearly 2,000 applicants, these 300 students make up the top 10% of competitors advancing from Society-affiliated science fairs.

Lemelson Early Inventor Award
The Lemelson Early Inventor Prize is a national award for middle school students (grades 6–8) offered by The Lemelson Foundation and run through the Society for Science Affiliate Fair Network.
It honors young scientists who design innovative and creative solutions to real-world problems.

Broadcom Coding with Commitment Award
The Broadcom Coding with Commitment Award is a national honor for middle school students (ages 11–14) who use coding, software, or AI to address real community problems in their projects.
It celebrates projects that are based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focused on improving work regarding health, sustainability, and social impact locally and globally.
