I've been helping out with the Bergen SciChallenge since my freshman year. After volunteering at the Bergen SciChallenge my freshman year, I knew I wanted to be a bigger part of this. I was lucky to have the opportunity to become a mentor for the Bergen SciChallenge my sophomore year and helped two students get 3rd place for their competition. I got more involved when I got on the board for the operations committee last year and helped a lot with organizing events for the students and helping with student registration. Now, as co-chair of the finance committee, I hope to help use our financial resources to the best of our capabilities to create an exciting experience for the younger students who come to participate in the Bergen SciChallenge this year.
