The mission of the Bentonville High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) program is to instill in students the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. We aim to develop future leaders of character by providing a stimulating academic, physical, and leadership-focused curriculum in a disciplined and respectful environment.

The Bentonville NJROTC program will be recognized as the premier high school citizenship and leadership development organization in the state, consistently producing graduates who are motivated, self-disciplined, and prepared to succeed in any post-secondary endeavor—whether in college, the workforce, or the armed services. We envision our cadets becoming ethical, productive, and contributing members of society who positively influence their communities and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

These principles guide the conduct of all cadets and instructors, the development of the curriculum, and the operations of the Bentonville NJROTC program.
Integrity First
Always do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Honesty, truthfulness, and ethical conduct are paramount in all actions and communications.
Commitment to Excellence
Strive for the highest standards in academics, physical training, drill, and unit operations. Success is achieved through diligent effort, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
Respect and Inclusion
Treat all individuals with dignity and courtesy, regardless of background, rank, or position. Foster an environment of teamwork and mutual support where every cadet feels valued and encouraged to contribute.
Leadership and Followership
Develop and practice effective leadership skills by taking initiative, accepting responsibility, and setting a positive example. Equally important is the ability to be a disciplined, dedicated, and supportive follower.
Service Above Self
Prioritize the needs of the unit, school, and community. Embrace opportunities for volunteerism and civic engagement to make a positive impact beyond personal benefit.
Discipline and Responsibility
Maintain sharp personal appearance, punctuality, and military bearing. Cadets are accountable for their actions, words, and assigned duties, demonstrating maturity and reliability at all times.
