Benchmark School wants to help students become strategic learners, thinkers, and problem solvers. We want students to know how to find the information they need and also how to create new ideas. Technology gives students powerful tools to work with, but also adds new responsibilities.

I know that it is usually best to talk or write to people I know and trust.
I will not share any personal information about myself, family, or Benchmark staff, such as passwords, home addresses, phone numbers, ages, and birth dates. I will be careful about where I use my real or full name or my picture.
I will try to leave a good “digital footprint” of myself when I am online by being positive and respectful.
I will be careful about protecting another person’s “digital footprint”. I will post only appropriate pictures or videos of other people and I will make sure I have their permission first.
I understand that I should not use material that is only for adults, uses bad language, or is an illegal copy.
I will ask an adult for help if I am not sure what is appropriate and I will tell an adult if a message, text, or picture online bothers me. This includes bullying or unkind words.
