STRATEGIC PRIORITY

Foster a connected, collaborative, strategic approach to continuous improvement of the district.

AIMS:

Continually assess progress toward the District's mission, vision, and goals and implement responsive actions for improvement.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources reflective of the strategic priorities for learning.
Provide adequate campus facilities and student support services to ensure a safe, welcoming, and effective learning environment.

BISD LEARNER RECOGNIZES & APPLIES UNIQUE GIFTS AND STRENGTHS:

Develop an intentional approach across all classrooms and campuses to help students find, cultivate, and apply their unique gifts and interests.
Increase and enhance the opportunities available to students to explore various departments in BISD through opportunities such as practicums, job-shadowing, and internships.

BISD LEARNER VALUES LEARNING & PERSONAL GROWTH:

Annually engage students, staff, and leaders in conducting a needs assessment and allocating resources aligned to identified needs and strategic priorities.
Develop and implement tools to annually measure performance of all programs, priorities, and initiatives.

BISD LEARNER THINKS CRITICALLY & CREATIVELY:

Annually develop implementation plans reflective of key actions identified in the Strategic Action Plan with specific interim targets.
Develop and implement a process to ensure all budgetary requests are aligned to an identified need, strategic priority, or action.
Establish and maintain replacement plans for resources within all departments and student programs.

BISD LEARNER EXHIBITS CHARACTER & KINDNESS:

Engage diverse stakeholders in advisory committees working through the strategic priorities of the district.
Develop collective responsibility for modeling our values of family, trust, and high expectations among students and staff.

BISD LEARNER DEMONSTRATES DRIVE & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Publish an annual performance report reflective of incremental progress toward identified goals.
Increase student ownership of the opportunities available at the BISD Learning Center.
Develop ways to recognize and capture moments when students apply their unique skills through ownership and initiative.

BISD LEARNER LEADS & COMMUNICATES EFFECTIVELY:

Create student leadership roles in our classrooms, on our campuses, and in our district.
Develop collective ownership of the condition of our schools.
Continually assess and respond to facilty and operational needs to ensure safe and effective conditions for learning for all students.
