To be considered for a Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation, teachers must meet all of the following eligibility requirements outlined below.
Serve as the Teacher of Record (TOR) in a Bells ISD teaching assignment approved for participation in TIA during the Data Capture Year.
Remain the Teacher of Record in your eligible assignment for the entire Data Capture Year. Teachers who move to a non-teaching position during the Data Capture or Data Submission Year are no longer eligible for a designation.
Be present for at least 90% of your contracted workdays during the Data Capture Year. This ensures enough instructional time to accurately measure teacher impact.
Be reported as the Teacher of Record (PEIMS Role ID 087) for 4 periods or more during the required PEIMS submissions for both the Data Capture Year and the Data Submission Year.
Receive a completed T-TESS evaluation conducted by your principal or designated appraiser. Your observation score is one of two components used to determine your overall TIA score.
Student Growth makes up 50% of your overall TIA score. Teachers must have valid student growth data collected using the district-approved assessment for their teaching assignment.
Administer all required student growth assessments according to Bells ISD testing procedures, including completing required testing documentation and maintaining testing integrity.
Teachers must be in good standing with Bells ISD at the time TIA funds are distributed. Certain employment or disciplinary situations may affect eligibility to receive a designation or payment.
Eligibility Does NOT Guarantee a Designation
Meeting the eligibility requirements means you may be eligible for submission to the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
TEA—not Bells ISD—makes the final determination regarding TIA designations after reviewing and validating each district's submitted data.
Only teachers whose designations are approved by TEA will receive TIA funding.
